At the start of 2003, Wirral Play Council received funding from the government's Street Crime Initiative programme to set up a new project, 'Play For All'.

The 15-month project provided play provision for young people with a diagnosis of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) in three open access play settings and one more highly staffed play scheme for children identified as posing a higher level of risk.

During the Easter & Summer holidays the following playcentres; Livingstone Street, Gautby Road, Leasowe Adventure Playground and Wirral Play Council provided age appropriate play opportunities aimed at promoting optimal social and emotional development so as to reduce challenging/anti social behaviour.

Although the project has now ended many of the children continue to access the play centres on a regular basis.
