Peter Johnstone returns to the fold, today, and will be our new Admin/Resource Worker.

30.10.14 Another Farewell

We are sad to say goodbye to Natalie Stringfellow, Wirral Play Council's long time Admin Worker.
Nat has been an asset to the Play council over the last 13 years and leaves us to run her own tasty cake baking business (so look out for, 'Natalie's Cakes & Bakes').

03.10.14 Farewell, Ros

Today, we say goodbye to our Resource Manager/Play Development Worker, Ros Barrie, as she leaves us for pastures new.
Ros, has been with us since 2008 and will be missed by everyone.
We wish her all the best in her new role.

18.08.14 Summer Break

The Wirral Play Council will be shut for one week (so the staff can have a well deserved summer break).
We'll be closed from Friday 22nd, August, and re-open again on Monday 1st, September. Sorry, in advance, for any inconvenience this may cause.

15.08.14 Summer Playschemes

Our summer playschemes have now ended for another year. We hope you all made use of the free play sessions and we'll see you all again in 2015.
Wirral Play Council would like to thank all this year's playworkers for their hard work over the last four weeks. Now go out and play!

06.08.14 Painting Competition Winners

This summer, all the playschemes were given a blank board to paint, along with the theme, ' Play Is..? '
All of the entries were then put on display in the Birkenhead Park visitors' pavillion to be viewed during Playday.
The paintings were judged by the Mayor of Wirral, Councillor Steve Foulkes, and we are pleased to announce the winning paintings...

1st place - Livingstone Street
2nd place - Woodchurch
3rd place - WPC Special Needs

Thank you to all the children from each scheme that took part. There were a lot of good entries but unfortunately only three could win.

06.08.14 National Playday 2014

The national Playday for the Wirral was held today in Birkenhead Park and apart from the early morning storms it turned out to be quite a nice afternoon.
Over 3,000 visitors took part in the play activities on offer this year. They included; a climbing wall, bouncy castles, face painting, 'zorb' balls, slack lines, big art, and drums, as well as the water slide, and the hay bale tent
